Meet Joey: The Mind Behind Vaiderz
I’m Joey, and I’ve been tattooing for just shy of 12 years. I specialise in horror realism and surrealism — mainly black and grey with a pop of colour. I’m the proud owner of Vaiderz HQ and Vaiderz Needles, and I’m also sponsored by Kokai Sumi, Uncle Bob’s, Aftercare Collective, and InkPro
How Vaiderz Started
Covid made me realise I couldn’t rely on tattooing alone as an income. I wanted to build something different — a brand that artists could rely on and afford. That’s how Vaiderz Needles was born.
What started as a side project quickly became something much bigger.
What Makes Vaiderz Different?
First off — they’re pink.
But more importantly, they’re sharper and built different. If I ever get negative feedback, I take it on board and improve the product. The goal is constant progression.

Balancing It All
I have employees at the studio, but Vaiderz? I run that myself. It’s a lot of work — expect no sleep! I’ve had to cut down some tattoo days to give the brand equal attention.
One thing’s for sure: I’ll never sell Vaiderz — it’s my baby. And I’ll never quit tattooing. When the brand grows big enough, I’ll hire people to run it for me.
Any Regrets?
None. Every mistake and every success starts from the bottom. You learn, you build, you grow.
Advice for Anyone Starting a Brand?
Be prepared — it’s hard work. But if you believe in what you’re building, it’s worth it.
Big things are coming for Vaiderz… you’ll just have to wait and see.
